English as a Second Language - Composition
Level I to IV

Duration: 4 weeks for each level

The composition courses taught at Synergy Business College are intended to teach ESL students to write creatively and learn correct usage of grammar in the process.

• Composition I
  This course is for ESL students who can write short, simple paragraphs demonstrating mastery of low-intermediate grammar. The course focuses on mastering intermediate grammar structures in the context of functional and paragraph writing.
  
  
• Composition II
  This course focuses on mastering high-intermediate level grammar in the context of complex paragraph and story writing. The writing focus is on content, structure, style and vocabulary.
  
  
• Composition III
  This course is for students who can combine several paragraphs to write short stories and narratives, demonstrating mastery of high-intermediate grammar structures. The course focuses on the writing process, rhetorical organization, content, structure, style and vocabulary in the context of basic essay writing.
  
  
• Composition IV
  This course focuses on process, content, structure, style and vocabulary, and the expression of critical thinking in the five-paragraph essay format. It will teach students to become competent, independent writers.
